Can't Recommend Highly Enough
My 5th grader and I are just about to finish our year of American history with the Tuttle Twins and I am so sad to have to put these text books away! Both volumes have opened such incredible conversation in our home and created a real love for our country's story. We've used the supplemental workbook pages and the Mr C videos - both wonderful ways to dig even deeper. The Mr C videos especially were created with an obvious understanding on how to keep the students' attention but didn't condescend or dumb down the info - honestly, I loved watching them too. My own appreciation for our history has deepened and I can't wait for my younger child to be ready to go through the curriculum in a few years! Bottom line - this curriculum works! Its engaging, it makes history memorable, and it shows a real and imperfect country struggling for beautiful freedom while sometimes getting it right and sometimes getting it wrong.
